The Jungle Resort is located on the Amba Ghat (Maharashtra - India) on the NH 204 Kolhapur - Ratnagiri  highway, at the height

 of 2000 ft above sea-level, amidst the thick Jungles that form the periphery of the Dajipur wildlife Sanctuary (known for

 its Bison Population), spread over 5 acres having 8 Cottages and 3 tents.Amba is situated on the Western Ghats of the Shayadri

 Range and is filled with flora and fauna amidst the Dajipur Bison Sancutary and the area around 200+ Bird Species are found.

 most notably being Hornbills.  Amba is also a trekkers delight and where one can trek around Forts of Shivaji i.e.Panhala

 and Vishalgad.Guests can do Jeep Safaris (Day and night safaris), undertake excursions and engage themselves in a variety of

 Indoor as well as outdoor activities.  


Climate is cool and dry throughout the year and evening are below 18 degree hence AC not required. During Monsoon, It rains

 heavily and jungles are full with waterfalls and mist.

Surroundings :

 Day and Night Jungle Safari's in open jeeps, into thick forested area. Only 3-4 kms from the resort is a place called Waghzara,

 where it is said that wild animals visit for their daily dose of freshwater. Visits to "Echo Point" and "Konkan Point" from where

 you can see the beautiful konkan region and its mountain ranges below the steep valleys is a breath-takingview.You can also take a

 walk through the jungle during the day and surrounding small villages to enjoy and observe the peaceful villagers at their

 daily chores and routines. Follow the herds of goats, buffaloes for grazing and Chase the hens. Trek throughthe forest with your

 binoculars and capture the variety of birds in this region.  In the resort itself we have a 2 Kms track going all around the resort

 and sit outs near the stream, this is a very refreshing walk itself. For the adventurous lot, you can try taking a dip in the stream.

1 Day Excursion :

Ganpatipule – Visit the famous swayambhu 400 yrs old Ganpati Temple. Its known for its white sandy beach and blue waters. 

Route : Amba – Sakharpa – Pali – Hatkhamba – Nivali Phata – turn left for Ganpatipule  = 80kms / 1hr 45mins drive.

Ratnagiri – Well-known for its Alphonso Mangoes and Mangosteen (kokam) Juices. Further visit to the birth place of Freedom 

Fighter Tilak, the beaches with black and white sand etc.

Route : Amba – Sakharpa – Pali – Hatkhamba – turn left for Ratnagiri = 55 kms / 1hr drive.Kolhapur – Famous for

 Mahalakshimi temple, Kolhapuri Chappals, Traditional Navari Saris, Sugar-cane fields, is also known as the Dakshin Kashi. Visit 

to Panahala fort is recommended for its excellent sunset.

Route : Amba – Malkapur – Bambavde – Panhala - Kolhapur = 65 kms / 1hr drive.Marleshswar Temple – The temple dedicated

 to Shiva is situated in a Cave. The shivling is always surrounded by live snakes and is considered as a live temple trusted 

by the devotees. There is also a waterfall to enjoy.

Route : Amba – Sakharpa – take right for Devrukh - Marleshwar = 51 kms / 1hr drive.
